The Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) consists of 10 levels of qualifications. The Irish NFQ is supported by the principles of guarantee and quality, describing the qualifications in the education and training system, and defining what each qualification says about what the students know, understand and are capable of doing. It also determines the pathways for how to get from one NFQ level to the other.
