No, the international student will be allowed to stay legally in the country until the date stated on their IRP/GNIB. After that date, the student will be considered irregular in the country, risking deportation. If the student’s study visa expires before the start of higher education classes, the student will need to contact immigration to try to obtain authorization to stay legally in the country.
